I started ModCloth.com in June, 2002 during that wonderful summer after
high school and before college. I originally started the site to
support my thrifting habit; I just couldn't leave a beautiful piece of
clothing on the rack even if it didn't fit me.
For a long time
the site was just a hobby; I would shop whenever I had the time between
classes, activities, and a part time job. It wasn't until the end of my
junior year (as everyone else was interviewing in the "real world" for
"real jobs") that I decided to take the plunge and work on ModCloth
full-time after graduation.
So, here I am, doing what I love
and watching my hobby grow into the best place on the web for indie
designers and one of a kind vintage pieces. I wake up excited and
grateful to be able to go to work. Who wouldn't want to shop for a
living? Want more? Check out ModCloth's StyleDiary
